What is Myqo?
We make the easiest, most sustainable mushroom grow kits so you can grow delicious oyster mushrooms at home and discover the beautiful world of fungi. All you have to do is spray your kit with water and watch the freshest, most beautiful oyster mushrooms grow right on your counter.

How Myqo Works
Get It Started
Place your kit in an area with good air flow and ambient light. Peel off the round sticker on the front of the kit. This is where your mushrooms will grow.
Spritz It
Generously spray the “X” several times a day with water using the spray bottle. After about 4–6 days, you will start seeing mushroom “pins” develop.
Watch Them Grow
Continue to spray the mushrooms. At this point, your mushrooms will grow fast (they might even double in size every day!)
Harvest Time
About 5 days after the pins form, your mushrooms will be ready to harvest. Cut the cluster off at the base right before the caps completely unfurl and flatten out.For more tips, read our detailed instructions or visit our FAQ.

A big part of why we started Myqo is our feeling that so much about our food production system is broken, and we want to prove that you can run a successful business and be responsible stewards of our planet. Our free shipping is carbon-neutral, and we use low-water and low-electricity techniques to make our kits. Our mushrooms grow on coffee grounds from local coffee shops and agricultural byproducts like straw and soy hulls. You can read more about what sets our kits apart in this blog post. We also operate in a cozy, communal space in the heart of Brooklyn, proving that you can grow your own food responsibly anywhere. It doesn't get more local than that.
